Brilliant Speaker

I really liked this speaker so much I bought two, the sound is amazing the build is amazing, I can pair them together, they sound great, bluetooth is 5.3 which is good, all the buttons and functions are great to use, it really is a well made and solid little speaker with a brilliant sound, I was a bit sceptical about buying a soundcore speaker because I never tried this make before, but I am really happy that I did.. Like I say a brilliant Speaker which has to be heard to appreciate it I would definitely recommend this soundcore motion 300 speaker.

M
Mr Bruh
Anker's presets left me disappointed, Oluv's Gadget's Presets however...

After careful consideration of my past experience with Anker's speakers (ok but not much more) I had decided to shortlist this speaker. I was skeptical, I'll admit, having scoured the internet for reviews that weren't paid advertisements (which is rare unfortunately). But then I came across one particular person who gives honest unpaid reviews, and he actually gave it a gold award, to which I was surprised as much as I was amazed. Watching his review gave me the impetus to buy the Motion 300.First impressions with Anker's default 'signature' preset were sub-par; bass was all over the place, high's weren't visceral enough to be considered neutral. I feel these signature presets are predicated on pure guess work by Anker's sound people, because they never sound good unfortunately. Not one of the four presets are good, xtra bass is just boosted upper bass, making the sound really quite unpleasant. And balanced, well let's just say, isn't balanced. But one of the absolute jewels (kudos to Anker here) of the Soundcore App is the custom EQ feature; not only do you get a 9- band equaliser, you get full-band in addition, giving the end user a level of flexibility that simply isn't heard of with any other brand. Bose don't even give an EQ; Sony give you a three band EQ; LG give you a poor 5 band; JBL gives you a simple dual-band; you get the idea. One person in particular, by the name of Oluv's Gadgets gave the speaker a review and made his own custom EQ for the speaker, which happened to impress him so much he have it a rare gold award, on par (at the very least) with Earful's UBoom L, which has long held the title of best bluetooth speaker for him specifically.Importing his EQ was a breeze, and using his preset felt as if I was using a different speaker altogether, and it was for the better, no doubt about that. The sound is accurate and neutral, whilst still delivering on those all important bass notes in more bass prevalent tracks. Low bass is unaffected, and limiting on a speaker of this size. The Harman Pardon Luna is for the bass fans, but strong deep bass doesn't make for an accurate speaker. As with most bluetooth speakers, it's reliant on mid-bass, and with Oluv's EQ, it sounds great. At the default 'signature' preset, side by side with my Bose Soundlink Flex, the Bose is too boomy, with it's bass overwhelming everything else, but the Motion 300 isn't all that much better; it just sounds muddy and less powerful. Switching to the imported EQ present, it's a whole different ball game; it completely leaves the Flex in the dust. I've decided out of the many speakers I own at this point (XG7, XG300, Motion+, Flex, Beosound A1, Sonos Roam, Earfun UBOOM L, and HK Luna) I'm going to primary the Motion 300. For a better experience when everyone isn't in the house, I'll use my GO+ Play 3.Now, is this a praise for Anker necessarily? Well in one sense yes, because it's managed to outshine every other portable speaker I own, with a custom EQ preset. In another sense, perhaps more importantly, no. As seems to be the case with the Q30 headphones, from which every subsequent model sounded poor, Anker appear to rely on sheer luck when it comes to good sound tuning, i.e., it's just a case of luck if their next headphone/speaker sounds good or not. I would hope Anker listen to unbiased reviewers like Oluv, and consider the fact that they have a massive opportunity to be genuine, trustworthy leaders in the headphone and speaker market.
